Our Story

We serve coffee, but we’re not your typical coffee shop. Cedar Stand Coffee Co started with a simple idea: could we create a welcoming café experience without anchoring ourselves to one address? We built our mobile coffee trailer to find out.

Being mobile means we can meet our community where they are, whether that’s a local market, a bike race, or a festival. Quality is always at the core. From carefully sourcing beans from trusted roasters near and far to crafting each drink with care and precision, we believe every cup should be worth slowing down to enjoy.

We’ve always viewed coffee as a ritual. It’s a way to start the day, pause for a moment, or connect with others. It’s about community as much as caffeine.

That’s why we work with a handful of talented roasters, bakeries, and tea makers who share our values of craft, community, and care. Together, we bring you the best of what our region has to offer — every drink and snack telling a local story worth sharing.

About Us

Collage of three images: a black fluffy dog sitting on a mossy rock in a forest, a man wearing a bike helmet and sunglasses eating a pastry and drinking coffee outdoors, and a woman smiling and holding a cappuccino with whipped cream and cinnamon, sitting at an outdoor cafe.

Cedar Stand Coffee Co is very much a family project, built by the three of us: Jeff, Ainsley, and Spencer.

Jeff has spent his career chasing big ideas and turning them into stories, through photography, filmmaking, and writing, to celebrate outdoor adventure. His work has taken him from hosting a photography workshop in Antarctica to directing Choosing to Live, a film that became a finalist at the Banff Mountain Film Festival, and writing for publications like Canadian Cycling Magazine, Escape Collective, and Lonely Planet.

Ainsley is a registered nurse with a love for food that once had her dreaming of life as a pastry chef. She brings that passion to Cedar Stand Coffee, creating gluten-free snacks and making sure everything we serve is safe for everyone to enjoy. She may not be at the counter as often as she’d like, but her influence is everywhere from the food we serve to the way we run our business.

And then there’s Spencer. As a two year old Australian labradoodle, he’s far too easily distracted to work a shift, but he’s an important part of our story. It was his idea to add dog treats to the menu, and he occasionally steps in as our official greeter.

Together, we’re here to serve great coffee, delicious snacks, and a warm welcome.
